YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS ACT

THE NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS ACT  is the Federal law which guarantees our rights to organize for the purposes of Collective Bargaining.  The National Labor Relations Board is a part of the Department of Justice.

SECTION SEVEN  of the National Labor Relations Act describes those things organizing bodies have the RIGHT to do.  You have the right to support a union and to organize.  You can talk about and sign cards on your breaks, and before or after your shift.  NEVER  while on the job, actually doing what you are paid to do, so not in the pit, or on your game.

SECTION EIGHT of the National Labor Relations Act describes those things management  is NOT ALLOWED to do.  No one can harass, threaten, coerce, intimidate, fire , lay you off, or discriminate against you in any way for supporting a union or organizing a union.  Management has absolutely NO RIGHT to know or inquire about who supports a union, who signed a card, or even how you feel on the subject one way or the other.
